Portland woman arrested after string of burglaries in past year, police say

Police arrest a suspect in a series of robberies in the Portland metro area.

Police have arrested a woman suspected in multiple burglaries around the Portland area in the past year, the Portland Police Bureau said.

Officers with a search warrant descended on an apartment in the 8600 block of Southwest Barbur Boulevard in Portland on Monday at about 5 a.m., police said. They arrested Virginia M. Kellison, 38, at the residence.

Police believe Kellison burglarized a games-and-comics shop and a consignment shop in Southwest Portland and businesses in Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Salem and other cities in the region. Police said the value of the items stolen total more than $50,000.

Kellison faces likely charges of burglary in the second degree, theft in the first degree and criminal mischief, according to the police bureau.

Evidence photos show clothing, purses, backpacks and a binder full of Pokemon cards.

Police ask anyone with information about Kellison to send a message to crimetips@poilce.portlandoregon.gov.
