Jackson Powers-Johnson is rapidly becoming one of the most intriguing offensive linemen in the 2024 NFL Draft. When will Powers-Johnson be selected has prompted a variety of opinions.

The former Oregon Ducks center was initially projected to be a first-round pick after a strong season with the Ducks and an equally impressive showing at the Senior Bowl. However, a recent report claimed that media analysts and mock draft experts were higher on Powers-Johnson than NFL scouts, suggesting he could drop into the back half of the first round or out of the first round.

Place CBSsports.com’s Ryan Wilson into the former category. Wilson projects Powers-Johnson to go to the Miami Dolphins at No. 21 overall. The Dolphins signed center Aaron Brewer to a three-year, $26 million deal in free agency, but Wilson said Powers-Johnson “should be a Day 1 starter.”

Yes, the Dolphins signed C Aaron Brewer in free agency, but Jackson Powers-Johnson is dominant and should be a Day 1 starter in Miami.”

There are a number of mock drafts projecting Powers-Johnson going to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 20 or the Dallas Cowboys at No. 24.

The 2024 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-27.
