Victim in car crash near Vancouver dies on way to hospital

A person died Thursday afternoon while being taken to a hospital following a multi-car crash near Vancouver, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

Shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday, emergency dispatchers received a report of a collision in Amboy, a town about 30 miles northeast of Vancouver. The caller said that one driver had “significant injuries.”

“Several vehicles” were involved in the crash, the sheriff’s office said.

Officials provided no details. An investigation into the crash is underway.
