Top Burmese’s fermented tea leaves might be tame, but golden samosas leave you wanting more (restaurant review)

Opened in: October 2019

Never let it be said that Kalvin and Poe Myint are afraid of technology. A year before we learned what “social distancing” meant, the Myints launched Top Burmese as a virtual restaurant, slinging fermented tea leaf salads and golden fried samosas exclusively through a half-dozen delivery apps. That sleepy takeout spot soon grew to three full restaurants, each with its own fleet of robot waiters, starting when the first Top Burmese took over the small storefront once home to Tanuki.
