Portland Trail Blazers lose 8th consecutive game, 120-106 at Atlanta Hawks: Live updates recap

The Portland Trail Blazers received 31 points from Dalano Banton and 17 from Toumani Camara, but they were not enough to overcome 19 turnovers during a 120-106 loss Wednesday night at the Atlanta Hawks.

Dejounte Murray led the Hawks with 30 points and Garrison Mathews scored 21 off the bench while hitting 5 of 9 three-point attempts.

Fourth quarter: The Blazers trailed by as much as 19 points in the fourth quarter and could never mount a comeback.

Third quarter: Hawks 100, Blazers 86

Hawks won the third quarter 101-86.

Blazers have 30 assists for the game. Shooting 53.1% from the field and 50% on threes. But 15 turnovers have led to 24 points for the Hawks.

Hawks at 56.1% from the field and 48.4% on threes. Their 14 turnovers have led to 15 points for the Blazers.

Halftime: Hawks 65, Blazers 58

Atlanta shot 7 of 11 on threes while winning the quarter, 39-29.

Dylan Windler led the Hawks with 11 points in the quarter.

Dalano Banton scored 12 points off the bench in the quarter and now has 15 for the game. Camara has 14.

The Blazers shot 8 of 15 from three-point range but committed 11 turnovers.

Dejounte Murray leads the Hawks with 15 points.

First quarter: Blazers 29, Hawks 26.

Toumani Camara led the Blazers with 12 points. Portland went 5 of 9 on threes but committed six turnovers.

The Hawks also turned over the ball six times while doing 5 of 12 on threes.

Dejounte Murray led the Hawks with nine points.

Trail Blazers’ Deandre Ayton (elbow, tendinitis) and Matisse Thybulle (right ankle, soreness) were listed as questionable while Jerami Grant (right hamstring, strain) was deemed doubtful.

And, of course, all three are out. Again.

The Blazers will take on the Atlanta Hawks on the road without their seven best players in a situation that’s starting to resemble how the team closed out the 2022-23 and 2021-22 seasons.

Hawks: Dejounte Murray (Lower Back; Soreness) is questionable. Saddiq Bey (left knee; torn ACL), Kobe Bufkin (left big toe; sprain), AJ Griffin (right ankle; sprain), Mouhamed Gueye (right UCL; sprain), Jalen Johnson (right ankle; sprain), Onyeka Okongwu (left big toe; sprain) and Trae Young (left fifth finger; torn ligament) are out.
