The Oregon State baseball season ended nearly two months ago, but the games continue for many Beavers players.

From the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League to the regional West Coast League, several Beavers have been fine-tuning sliders, tweaking swings and testing new positions during summer league baseball.

How have they fared?

Below is a list of Beavers playing this summer and a rundown of their statistics. It’s not an exhaustive list — it’s possible a player or two is competing somewhere and we’re unaware — but it’s complete to the best of our knowledge.

It’s also worth noting that, because players often use summer to tinker and experiment with swings and pitches, statistics don’t often tell the whole story. But, at the very least, this offers a peek into how things are going for Oregon State players.

Travis Bazzana, Falmouth Commodores, Cape Cod: The Beavers’ standout second baseman has played in 27 games and logged 108 at-bats. He’s batting .343 with three home runs, four doubles, two triples, 21 RBIs, 22 runs scored, 16 walks and 12 stolen bases. Bazzana played in the Cape Cod All-Star Game, going 1 for 2.

Gavin Turley, Falmouth Commodores, Cape Cod: The freshman All-American outfielder has played in 17 games and logged 53 at-bats. He’s batting .189 with two homers, two doubles, 11 RBIs, nine runs scored, 10 walks, and three stolen bases. After a frigid start, Turley has been on a tear in recent weeks, batting .385 with 10 RBIs, six runs, two homers and two doubles over the last seven games.

Aiden Jimenez, Chatham Anglers, Cape Cod: The rising sophomore has made eight appearances and tossed 15 2/3 innings, all in relief. He’s 2-0 with a 1.14 ERA and 12 strikeouts. He made the Cape Cod All-Star Game and threw one scoreless inning.

Mason Guerra, Harwich Mariners, Cape Cod: Guerra has continued his breakout sophomore season with a solid summer, playing in 21 games and logging 76 at-bats. He’s batting .276 with one homer, three doubles, seven RBIs, six runs and 11 walks. Guerra, who opened the summer with an 11-game hitting streak, was named to the All-Star Game and had two plate appearances, drawing a walk and striking out.

Elijah Hainline, Hyannis Harbor Hawks, Cape Cod: The transfer from Washington State has played in 21 games and logged 73 at-bats. He’s batting .247 with three doubles, one homer, six RBIs and 16 runs scored. Hainline was named a Cape Cod All-Star and went 1-1 with a double, run scored and walk in the exhibition game.

Brandon Forrester, Lincoln Potters, California Collegiate League: The younger brother of standout Garret Forrester redshirted last season, but has played in 23 games and logged 78 at-bats this summer. He’s batting .321 with one homer, one double, one triple, nine RBIs, 26 runs scored, 11 stolen bases and 15 walks.

Canon Reeder, Okotoks Dawgs, Western Canadian Baseball League: The rising sophomore has played in 16 games and logged 60 at-bats. He’s batting .317 with one homer, three doubles, one triple, 12 RBIs, 13 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.
