Former Siena guard Elisa Mevius commits to Oregon women’s basketball

Oregon women’s basketball has the first offseason addition to its 2024-25 roster.

Former Siena guard Elisa Mevius, who averaged 12.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 4.5 steals this season, committed to transfer to UO on Tuesday. The MAAC defensive player of the year, Mevius was second in the country in steals this season.

The 5-foot-10 Mevius has averaged 11.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists over two seasons at Siena, making 61 starts in 62 games. She has two years of eligibility remaining.

She started all 30 games at Sienna this season and shot 45.5% from the field, including 27.6% from three, and 74.2% from the free throw line en route to being named first team all-MAAC. She recorded the first triple-double in Siena history on March 7, with 16 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists against Rider.

In 2021-22, Mevius averaged 10.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists, shooting 37.8% from the field, including 30.9% from three, and 80.4% from the free throw line.
